The Art Cart was developed as part of the Kirkland Cultural Arts Commission’s (KCAC) greater mission to enrich our community through dynamic art opportunities. The KCAC designed the Art Cart as an adaptable program, free to the public and targeting children ages 5-16 and their families. The cart will be facilitated by an Arts Commissioner or volunteers and provide flexible project ideas adaptable to outdoor and indoor spaces. The Art Cart provides hands-on-projects that include drawing/painting and writing with the objectives of having fun while doing something unique. Projects encourage observation of art and the natural environment.
Look for the Art Cart to be parked in a variety of outdoor Kirkland events this summer including Summer Sundays on Park Lane, ArtStop at Wednesday Markets and Crossing Kirkland in September.
The Art Cart will be at ArtStop at the Wednesday Market on the following days: July 17 and August 14 as well as at Crossing Kirkland, September 7 from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. near the Google Campus.
