Kirkland Performance Center presents... Reading Dance

“Reading Dance”, a companion event to the Chop Shop:  Bodies of Work Dance Festival (Meydenbauer Theatre), is an engaging lecture/demonstration format with dancers from The Stone Dance Collective and Artistic Director Eva Stone. This lecture demystifies and reveals the creative process of how contemporary dance is made.  Audience members will discover the type of movement language contemporary dance uses, learn how a dance piece is formed, and be able to ask questions of the choreographer and dancers about artistic process. Open to all ages! In partnership with The City of Bellevue and funded by a grant from 4Culture, Bellevue Arts Commission and The National Endowment for the Arts.
