Tell us about yourself!
Both of us are transplants from Monatana. Moved to the Seattle area in 1972 and started our own business, a custom frame shop in North Seattle.
What inspired you to open your store?
Our Kirkland gallery was a second location for us. We were looking for a location with the look and feel of our existing gallery in Edmonds. A location with an upscale demographic and friendly, human scale.
Describe your store:
A nationally recognized fine art gallery representing over 60 leading artists from the Northwest region as well as other parts of the U.S. and Canada. We also offer expert custom framing and home and office art consultation.
Tell us about your customers:
We draw customs of all ages and walks of life who collect and appreciate high quality paintings and sculpture.
What is your favorite thing about being a small business owner?
Using my own vision and creativity to build a successful business.
What advice would you give to aspiring business owners?
Love what you do or don’t do it!
Tell us about a current event you are excited about right now:
Howard/Mandville Gallery will be hosting the 17th Annual National Juried Exhibition for the American Impressionist’s Society opening September 29, 2016.
