2022 Kirkland Chamber Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Symposium: Workforce Re-Entry Panel
- Presented By: Kirkland Chamber Foundation
- Dates: July 14, 2022
- Time: 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM
- Price: $40
Many individuals who have been incarcerated at some point in their lives find difficulty in coming out of prison into a world of hope for a steady career due to their record of imprisonment. Giving people second chances, with hope for a stable future, helps prevent recidivism, brings more talent into the workforce, and provides a chance at a better life for those who have already paid for mistakes in their past.
The 2022 Kirkland Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Symposium will feature a panel of speakers to discuss the issue of workforce re-entry. Employers will learn about how this pool of potential employees can and should be included in hiring processes.
* We also recognize that People of Color are incarcerated at higher levels than Caucasians, creating a disproportionate representation within our prison system.
