The health and safety of our residents and visitors is the highest priority of the City of Kirkland. As part of King County, Kirkland is in Phase 2 of Governor Inslee’s “Safe Start” re-opening. Although many City services are available online, City Hall and most City buildings are closed to the public as part of our response to COVID-19.

Kirkland Police Explorers Benefit Car Show

The Kirkland Police Explorers, sponsored by the Kirkland Police Department and local businesses, host a free, family friendly event featuring live music, a BBQ, beautiful custom cars and lots of prizes. This car show raises funds to support the Kirkland Police Explorers program, a volunteer law enforcement mentorship program for youths ages 14 through 20. In addition to learning about what it's like to have a career in law enforcement, the Explorers serve as volunteers for the police department.
