Nonprofit Folk Horizons offers a partner-style contra dance every second Saturday at the Juanita Community Club! Contra dance is a type of folk dance made up of long lines of couples, with mixed origins rooted in the 17th and 18th century. Beginner contra dance instruction starts at 7:30 p.m. with the dance starting at 8. Folk Horizons is an educational nonprofit organization that strives to engage local communities and to promote traditional folk performing art programs.
