Volunteer
Volunteering in the community can provide a positive, natural teambuilding experience that enriches and enlightens your team while providing an interactive offsite experience. Kirkland offers several opportunities for your attendees to make a difference during your group gathering.
Explore Kirkland has relationships with several organizations throughout the area and can make introductions and foster connections depending on your group size, time commitment and area of interest. Example volunteering opportunities include:
Park clean-up and weeding: Help keep a Kirkland park looking great with litter pick-up and light/moderate weeding. Number of participants: 5–30 persons.
Natural area habitat restoration: Help reclaim a natural area by removing invasive plants, mulching cleared areas or trying your hand at some seasonal planting. Number of participants: 10–50 persons.
Park trail maintenance: Help repair or improve portions of a Kirkland park trail, which usually involves gravelling, digging and reinstalling edging. Number of participants: 5–50 persons.
