Our mission is to help people see and understand the world from the cat’s perspective. In doing so, we hope to help reduce the number of unnecessary shelter surrenders in our area. As a team, we are dedicated to this mission in all that we do. When you come into our store you will see that we really like cats! :) But that is just the tip of the iceberg. We are passionate about cats: what they eat, why they do what they do, and how we can make life as good for them as possible. We study cats and learn new things every day. Mother Nature is our first and best teacher, and our services and products always follow her lead. In 2012 I had a major career change. I had been running my non-profit, Feral Care, for 12 years in addition to a regular full-time job. It made sense for me to work with cats professionally as well. I had wanted to open a grooming facility just for cats, but without the proper products to recommend it didn’t make sense. The bulk of the grooming that we do is what we call therapeutic grooming – meaning the cat is out of balance. And that imbalance is usually an indicator of something systemic, and that is usually an indicator of malnutrition. Based on my experience with cats and how misunderstood they truly are, I decided that I wanted to be a comprehensive resource for cats. For every cat owner that comes into our store, we see an opportunity to advocate and educate. Our prevailing belief is that every one of our customers does the best they can with what they know. We always hope to offer new, updated, and Mother Nature-based information for the well being of our customers' cats.
