Cafe Classics Workshop with Seattle Coffee Gear

Dive into the rich history and hands-on creation of the world's most beloved coffee drinks: the Cappuccino, Latte, and Flat White.

Ever wonder about the true difference between a Cappuccino and a Flat White, or where the Latte actually comes from? Join us for a journey through coffee history and technique. This class is perfect for coffee enthusiasts who want to understand the stories behind their favorite cafe drinks and learn how to craft them at home.

We’ll trace the evolution of espresso from 19th-century Italy to the modern cafe, exploring the origins of the Cappuccino, the global rise of the Seattle-style Latte, and the debate over the Flat White's origins in Australia and New Zealand. But it’s not just history—we’ll get hands-on with the specific ratios, milk textures, and pouring techniques that define each drink.

Whether you prefer the frothy crown of a traditional Cappuccino, the silky microfoam of a Latte, or the bold smoothness of a Flat White, you’ll leave with the know-how to distinguish, order, and brew these classics with confidence.

Our staff is here to help you every step of the way during this fun and interactive class in our Kirkland Urban location in Kirkland, WA!
