Finding Style
September 22, 2026 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Tuesdays, September 22 - November 10, 2026 (8 sessions)
This course is a creative jump-start for artists at any level who want guidance, direction, and momentum. Whether you’re just beginning or looking to refresh and refocus your work, the instructor will quickly identify your strengths and interests, helping chart a personalized artistic path.
You’ll build confidence by sharpening key skills like value, shading, and perspective, then shift into a flexible, independent-study format shaped around your ideas and goals. Experiment with paint, graphite, pastels, and found materials while receiving individualized feedback in a supportive, playful environment that encourages curiosity and risk-taking. On occasion, you’ll also have the opportunity to draw from a costumed model, adding a dynamic figure-drawing component to round out your education and strengthen observational skills.
Think of this course as a gateway: part skill-builder, part creative lab, part community and part mentorship, designed to help you make art that feels more intentional, expressive, and distinctly your own.
