Eastside Development Academy presents Kirkland Youth Sport: Youth Development Through Basketball, a summer youth basketball development experience designed to help young athletes grow beyond the competitive sports environment.
This program uses basketball as the vehicle for whole-athlete development. Athletes will work on basketball fundamentals, skill development, confidence, composure, decision-making, emotional awareness, coachability, and personal growth.
Eastside Development Academy provides identity development through sport in partnership with The Realignment Code™ philosophy and methodology, adapted for youth identity development. The goal is to help athletes become more self-aware, emotionally grounded, confident, and prepared to grow both on and off the court.
Parents, this program is designed to address concerns that go beyond wins, losses, playing time, and competitive sports pressure. EDA seeks to develop the whole athlete — skill, mindset, identity, confidence, composure, and character.
Sessions are held in Kirkland at John Muir Elementary School from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM nightly, July 1 through August 28.
