Tuesdays, April 7 - May 26, 2026 (8 sessions)
Discover how color and light work together to create the illusion of life on paper. In this beginner-friendly course, students will explore the principles of color and light through the medium of gouache, gaining practical skills they can apply to their own artwork.
This class is perfect for aspiring illustrators, painters, or hobbyists of all ages who want to develop the visual tools to make their artwork more believable and expressive.
Over the course of 8 sessions, students will learn to make informed color choices and apply layering and mixing techniques to create depth and vibrancy—through guided, practical painting exercises. Along the way, they'll build a small portfolio of pieces that reflect their growing confidence in depicting color and light.
This course emphasizes direct application and creative exploration over lectures, making it ideal for hands-on learners looking to strengthen both their artistic intuition and technical skill.
