Straw Weaving: Harvest Doll
November 14, 2026 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Celebrate the harvest season and learn a traditional folk art in this 3-hour hands-on workshop, where you will create your own Straw Harvest Doll to take home while discovering the history and symbolism behind this timeless craft.
Harvest dolls have been made for centuries across Europe as symbols of gratitude, abundance, and the connection between people and the land. Using natural straw and traditional techniques, participants will transform simple materials into a beautiful handcrafted figure that can be displayed as seasonal décor or treasured as a unique piece of folk art.
This workshop is designed for adults and teens (ages 12+) and welcomes all skill levels. No previous crafting experience is necessary. Participants interested in folk traditions, cultural heritage, sustainable art, or handmade decorations will find this class both relaxing and rewarding.
Participants will leave with a completed Straw Harvest Doll, new crafting skills, and a deeper appreciation for traditional harvest customs and folk art.
All materials provided.
