Meet Lindsay A. Barry, DDS Meet Dr. Lindsay A. Barry Dr. Lindsay Barry is a graduate of University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California. Prior to dental school, Dr. Barry received a B.S. in Biology from the University of Idaho. Dr. Barry was born and raised in a small town in Southeast Alaska, but now calls the Kirkland area her home. Prevention, health, and a beautiful smile are the primary concerns of Dr. Barry and her staff at Barry Dental Center. Dr. Barry enjoys building relationships with her patients and actively involving them in their dental care. She believes in gentle dentistry and a painless experience, and provides laughing gas for those that are fearful of dentistry. Dr. Barry is passionate about taking continuing education courses to provide her patients with the best possible care. She has taken many courses in esthetic dentistry, Invisalign, periodontics, oral surgery, and implants. She has been recognized by her peers every year since 2011 as one of Seattle Metropolitan Magazine’s Top Dentists. Dr. Barry is a member of the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, and King County Dental Society. Dr. Barry also gives back to the community by supporting youth programs. She also furthers her knowledge by participating in multiple study clubs with her peers. Beyond dentistry, Dr. Barry enjoys spending time with her husband, her two children, and her feisty dog Nick. She is also an avid fitness enthusiast and enjoys the outdoors. Meet Aisha Hakeem, DDS Meet Dr. Lindsay A. Barry Dr. Aisha Hakeem hails from San Antonio, Texas, where she was born and raised (go Spurs!). She obtained her B.S. in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin, and then pursued her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Boston University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. During dental school, Dr. Hakeem completed a dental service trip to Nicaragua, where she had the privilege of providing dental treatment for a truly underserved population. This experience has cultivated a longing to continue to give back to local and global communities. Upon graduation, Dr. Hakeem sought advanced training with a General Practice Residency at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. Here, she gained invaluable experience treating the oral health needs for patients with very complex medical, cognitive, and physical limitations, in a hospital setting. After getting married, Dr. Hakeem joined her husband in the beautiful Pacific Northwest! Her experiences in general dentistry in an array of settings and throughout different regions of North America provides her with a unique perspective on the dental needs of diverse populations. She strives to provide the best oral healthcare with this fortunate insight. Dr. Hakeem’s passion to deliver quality treatment in a personalized and compassionate setting, allows her to develop long lasting and trusting relationships with her patients. Through this, she hopes to eliminate the fearful stigma associated with dentistry one day at a time! Dr. Hakeem aspires to continue growing in her field and is an active participant in a multitude of continuing education courses and study clubs. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, and the Seattle King County Dental Society. Outside of work, Dr. Hakeem is likely exploring the beautiful outdoors with her husband, and considers herself very lucky to now call Washington her home! Additionally, she loves cooking, baking, and decompressing on long-distance runs! Meet Ehsan Zahedi, DDS Meet Dr. Lindsay A. Barry Dr. Zahedi received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of California San Francisco. Afterward, he moved to Seattle and received his certificate in Periodontics and implant surgery and earned a Master of Science in Dentistry from the University of Washington. He has also received certificates in Periodontics and Advanced Implantology from the University of California Los Angeles and Esthetics in oral implantology from New York University. Before moving to the United States, he also earned his first DDS and MS degrees in his native country. In addition, he has completed the proficiency Dental Laser course for laser assisting new attachment procedure (LANAP®) and is a certified clinician by Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry. His fields of interest are dental implants and periodontal regeneration. He has published several papers in multiple journals in the field of hard and soft tissue augmentation and implant site development. His philosophy in periodontal treatment is to strive for perfection by combining patients` needs and desires with state-of-the-art techniques and materials to achieve esthetic, predictable clinical outcomes. Dr. Zahedi is a Board Certified in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery by the American Board of Periodontology. It is the highest academic achievement to be obtained in the specialty of periodontology and implant surgery. Furthermore, he is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry which symbolizes the highest level of competence and proficient skills in both the surgical and restorative aspects of implant dentistry. Dr. Zahedi is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. On a personal note, he enjoys his free climbing, mountaineering, skiing, and skydiving.
