Next, continue south on Lake Street and cross Kirkland Avenue to Serendipity, 117 Lake Street South. This cozy spot has the most current and trendy new and consignment fashions, geared toward women who are young or young at heart. Not a place for larger sizes, but great shoes and accessories for all.
Now that you are warmed up, you are ready to wander down Park Lane… cross Lake Street and head north then east on Park Lane. You might want to stash your purchases in your car. Stroll down tree lined Park Lane to Ragamuffin's Consignment, 132 Park Lane. This is ‘the’ high end shop with exclusive designers and quality finds for the discerning shopper. The perfect place for those who prefer name brands and are ready to pay a little more for the expertise Gisela and her staff use in selecting their items. Don’t miss the clearance items in the back for great buys.
By now it could be about lunchtime… don’t miss all the choices around for a great meal, either sit down or on the run. After lunch get back to the task at hand…shopping! Back to Park Lane and to Absolutely Fabulous, 138 Park Lane. This darling spot is packed with a wide range of styles. This is a well organized shop with trendy styles, designer finds and fun pieces to expand any wardrobe. Great shoes and purses and it even has a large selection for men.
Cross Park Lane and go just up Main Street to find a mainstay of Kirkland’s Consignment scene, Champagne Taste, 117 Main Street. Tammy and Cheri choose a variety of clothing for all sizes, arranged clothing and accessories by color. This is ‘the’ shop for bridal and formal wear. The staff can guide you toward the bridal gown of your dreams and help arrange for any tailoring as well. Champagne Taste has long been the spot for smart shopper for prom and special occasion dresses…they have a stunning selection, don’t miss this one.
Looking for more men’s consignment? Just north on Main Street, check out Seven Tailors. A combo tailor shop and men’s consignment…perfect for gently used quality menswear.
We are not done yet…although if you have completed this list so far, you are a pro-shopper! But wait, there’s more! It is time to return to your car and drive the short 3 miles north to Juanita. Head west on Central, North on Market until it turns into 100th Avenue NE. Across the street from McDonalds and Safeway is a quaint gray building that is home to Forget Me Not Consignments, 13723 100th Avenue NE. This is a large shop full of styles and accessories for all ages, including men’s, children’s clothes, equipment and books. This shop is set up in a way that separates Junior’s, misses and women’s sizes. It has one of the best jewelry collections as well. Worth the trip!
By now even the most seasoned shopper will be parched and ready for a break. Head back toward downtown to Juanita Village, 9749 NE 119th Way, to Brix Wine Café, or maybe Noppakao Thai for a glass of wine or dinner. For a quick bite try Spud's Fish and Chips or the Mezcal Grill, 702 Juanita Drive NE.
